Joyce Hawkes, PhD, is a Fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science, with a long-standing career as a research cell biologist and biophysicist. After a near-death experience she embarked on an exploration of indigenous healing traditions and then began teacheing energy healing at the interface of science and spirit. Hawkes taught nationally and internationally, and is the author of Cell-Level Healing: The Bridge from Soul to Cell, and Resonance: Nine Practices for Harmonious Health and Vitality. She was a certified counselor and practicing healing facilitator for 30 years.
Over the course of 15 years as a biophysicist she earned an international reputation for her scientific contributions in the field of ultra high-speed laser effects on cells, and the effects of environmental pollutants on fish. She has published 36 peer-reviewed scientific papers.
By combining her knowledge as a research biophysicist and her experience with indigenous healers Joyce realized that it is possible to reach the deep primary structures of life – our cells – with energy to bring health and vitality. She taught, wrote about, and offered Cell-Level Healing in private practice for 4 decades before her passing.
Joyce’s fascinating science stories, and rapport with audiences made her a popular radio and television guest. She has been a featured guest of Art Bell and George Noory on Coast to Coast Radio. Joyce was featured on a national TV special with Diane Sawyer on Turning Point and Good Morning America and was filmed in Japan for a documentary in 2005.
